Every brand begins with an idea.
NEYA began with a question.
Why does taking care of our health have to feel so complicated?
For years, I found myself navigating an endless stream of information, advice, products, and opinions. The deeper I went into the world of wellness, the more overwhelmed I became.
There were thousands of supplements, hundreds of experts, and countless recommendations. Everyone seemed to be selling a solution, yet many people still didn’t feel better—including me.
My own health journey began when I was searching for answers to challenges I couldn’t seem to solve on my own. What started as a personal effort to improve my wellbeing eventually became a much deeper exploration of how our bodies work, how lifestyle influences health, and how small daily choices can have a profound impact over time.
Then life gave me another perspective.
When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and I became her caregiver, my understanding of health changed completely. Suddenly, wellness was no longer about looking a certain way or achieving a particular goal. It became about quality of life, independence, dignity, energy, connection, and the ability to participate in everyday moments.
Those experiences forced me to ask bigger questions—not just about my own health, but about the health of our communities, our families, and the region we call home.
A Friendship Built on Conversations
Long before NEYA existed, there were simply conversations.
Whenever I traveled to Kuwait, I would meet with Dr. Lemia Shaban, who at the time was a close friend and someone I deeply respected.
Our conversations often drifted toward health. I would share my frustrations, the fatigue, the confusion, and the endless search for answers. In return, she would offer a different perspective—not dramatic solutions, miracle promises, or complicated protocols, but a consistent reminder that foundations, consistency, prevention, and small daily changes matter.
As a professor of functional nutrition and medicine, Dr. Lemia had spent years helping people understand the connection between nutrition, lifestyle, and long-term wellbeing. Through her clinical work, she saw many of the same challenges recur. People were overwhelmed, confused, and searching for trustworthy guidance that fit into real life.
Over time, those conversations evolved into something larger: a shared belief that wellness could be simpler, more intentional, more accessible, and more relevant to the realities of life in the GCC.
The Gap We Couldn’t Ignore
As we continued researching the wellness landscape, one thing became increasingly clear.
The Gulf region was being underserved.
Most supplements available in the market were developed elsewhere. Many were excellent products, but they were not necessarily created with our environment, lifestyle, climate, or daily challenges in mind.
We live in one of the hottest regions in the world, yet many people spend most of their days indoors. Vitamin D deficiency remains common despite year-round sunshine, while hydration challenges, stress, poor sleep, demanding schedules, and increasingly sedentary lifestyles affect people across every age group.
Yet very few wellness brands were speaking directly to these realities, and even fewer were created by people who understood them firsthand.
We didn’t want to build another supplement company.
We wanted to build a wellness brand that felt relevant to the people living here.

Why We Chose the Name NEYA
Naming a company sounds simple.
In reality, it can be one of the most difficult decisions founders make.
When the word “Neya” emerged, everything clicked.
In Arabic, Neya means intention.
The more we reflected on our own journeys, the more we realized that intention was where everything had started. The intention to feel better, to learn, to take responsibility for our health, to support the people we love, and to make better choices even when progress feels slow.
Health transformations rarely begin with dramatic action. They begin with a decision—a quiet moment when someone decides they are ready to take the first step.
That idea became the foundation of everything we wanted NEYA to represent.
What We Believe
At NEYA, we believe wellness should feel supportive rather than overwhelming. We believe people deserve transparency and that education should empower rather than confuse. We believe health is built through consistent daily habits, not perfection, and that prevention deserves more attention than it often receives.
Most importantly, we believe wellness should fit into real life, and that small, sustainable changes can create meaningful results over time.
Starting With the Essentials
When it came time to develop our first products, we intentionally resisted the temptation to do too much.
The wellness industry often rewards complexity.
We chose simplicity.
Instead of launching dozens of products, we focused on foundational support—the things many people need most, the things that support everyday wellbeing, and the things that can become part of a consistent wellness routine.
Our goal was never to chase trends. Our goal was to create products people could trust—products designed with purpose and products we would confidently recommend to our own families, because that is ultimately the standard that matters most.
More Than a Supplement Brand
People often ask whether NEYA is a supplement company.
The answer is yes.
But it is also much more than that.
From the beginning, we wanted to create a platform for education, awareness, and meaningful conversations about health. We wanted to help people better understand their bodies, make wellness feel approachable, and create a space where people felt supported rather than judged.
We also wanted to build a brand that reflected the values we both hold deeply: kindness, integrity, transparency, and care.
Looking Forward
NEYA was born from personal experiences, challenges, lessons, conversations, and a shared belief that wellness should be simpler, more intentional, and more relevant to the people it serves.
We know there is no single product that can transform someone’s life. Real change rarely works that way.
But we do believe that every meaningful journey begins somewhere—with a decision, a habit, a conversation, or simply an intention.
That belief is woven into everything we do.
Because before there is progress, there is intention.
And before there is a transformation, there is a first step.
NEYA exists to support that step, one day, one habit, and one intention at a time.
